eAWB

Ship faster and more efficiently by taking paper out of the process.

With electronic Air Waybills (eAWBs), we can help you move your cargo with more accuracy and peace of mind than ever before.

What is an eAWB?

An electronic Air Waybill (eAWB) is an online version of the printed Master Air Waybill (MAWB). By replacing just this one paper document with electronic data, we'll be one step closer to removing the additional 20-30 documents typically used when shipping international cargo.

Why switch?

Since the eAWB data comes directly from you, the shipper, the entire process will be up-to-the-minute and accurate. Right up until the moment your shipment arrives at the station, you'll be able to make last-minute adjustments and changes in real time. And unlike a paper MAWB, there is no chance of losing or misplacing it. eAWBs are also environmentally friendly and reduce your carbon footprint.

Get started.
Step 1: Make sure your system has the capability to exchange Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages in Interchange Message Procedures (IMP) or Extensible Markup Language (XML) standard formats. To test it, just send a text version to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will verify the accuracy.
Step 2: Sign the eAWB Multilateral Agreement.
Step 3: Get activated with Currier World at one of the following eAWB locations:
  • Atlanta (ATL)
  • Barcelona (BCN)
  • Charlotte (CLT)
  • Chicago (ORD)
  • Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)
  • Hong Kong (HKG)
  • Houston (IAH)
  • Inchon (ICN)
  • London (LHR)
  • Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Madrid (MAD)
  • Miami (MIA)
  • Narita (NRT)
  • New York (JFK)
  • Paris (CDG)
  • Raleigh-Durham (RDU)
  • Santiago (SCL)
  • Sao Paulo (GRU)
  • Zurich (ZRH)
Step 4: We'll help you set up an initial technical call, where we'll help you coordinate local branch or station contact details in preparation of trials, dates and lanes. Then we'll send you a confirmation email, which you'll need to reply to for your activation to take effect.
Now you're ready to paperless

You can begin using eAWBs right away. Remember, customs acceptance in each country can vary. To view a list of countries that currently accept eAWBs click here.
